Find gospel relief for the treadmill life
Hi, I’m Kristen
Author, counselor, speaker, pastor's wife — and a mom who has been in every stage of this parenting journey.
When our kids were young, our family had two official clubs: the Silly Club and the Serious Club. For a long time I was the president and sole member of the serious one. But somewhere along the way, grace genuinely loosened its grip on me. I became more fun. More free. More like someone who actually believed the gospel she was teaching her kids.
That's the thing about grace — when it really lands, it changes you. It freed me from the perfectionism, the performance, the quiet fear of never quite measuring up. And when something changes in a parent, something changes in the whole family.
That freedom is what I write about, speak to, and sit with people through. Not a better version of yourself. Just the gospel, doing what it was always meant to do.
This is a space to think, breathe, and grow — together.
Features and Collaborations
Sound Familiar?
You love your family and you're showing up every day. You're trying to get it all right—you read the books, listen to podcasts, go to Bible studies. You want to parent intentionally. And yet...
-
You know there is not a formula for perfect parenting…but letting go of control and trusting God with your kids feels impossible.
-
Especially the things nobody really talks about. There's a way to parent from a different place entirely.
-
That's exactly what we work toward here. We are looking to shape the heart, not control behavior.
An invitation to exhale.
Today’s problems seem bigger. The stakes are higher. Things are moving faster. And somewhere along the way, a quiet shame can begin to enter the room — the kind you don't talk about, because the people around you seem to be holding it together just fine. You worry you are missing the mark altogether.
So you pray harder. Try a new approach. Keep running.
So many of us have experienced treadmill living…working harder to hold things together, without experiencing true rest or peace. It's the gap between knowing the gospel in your head and actually living inside its relief. Grace became something you agreed with instead of something you rested in.
This is the space for the hard and the private, in every part of your family, your marriage, your parenting. No performance required.
Just the gospel. And room to finally exhale.

PREPARING FOR THE TEEN YEARS NOW
Parenting ahead
Most parents of young kids aren't thinking about the teenage years yet. They're in survival mode — managing the noise, the schedules, the daily thousand decisions. But the conversations you'll need to have in ten years? The trust, the honesty, the faith that holds under pressure? That starts now.
Parenting Ahead is for the parent who wants to get there on purpose. Not with a perfect strategy — but with a gospel foundation sturdy enough to hold when things get hard. Kristen brings her years in the counseling room and her own experience as a mom to help you see the connection between what you're doing today and who your kids are becoming.
Less fear-driven. More faith-rooted. More prepared than you ever thought you could be.
FOR THE MOM WHO’S ABOUT TO SEND ONE TO COLLEGE — OR ALREADY HAS
Parenting beyond
The drop-off is just one moment. What comes after it is a whole season — and nobody really prepares you for it. The grief that surprises you. The texts you second-guess. The quiet question underneath everything: who am I now, in this?
Parenting doesn't end. It just looks different. And this is the space to figure out what that means for you — with honesty, faith, and a counselor who's been through it herself.
