We all long for relief—from anxiety, depression, shame, failure, stress, discontent, loneliness, grief, unanswered prayers, relational hurt, and more. The list can feel endless.
We know the gospel should bring comfort and relief, but we don’t always feel it which makes us wonder where God is. With this topic, which can be given as one talk or broken into two or three for a retreat setting, Kristen helps us wrestle with our doubts in the face of suffering by pointing us to gospel. Along the way, she’ll help us consider why our theology matters and lead us to examine the body–mind–soul connection of God’s good design so in our pursuit of healing we attend to each. The role of the body of Christ and how we can participate in bringing Christ-centered comfort and relief to others will also be explored.

Busy, over-scheduled lives often lead to reactive parenting focused on the moment. But what our children need most is a long-term, intentional vision. In this keynote, Kristen draws from her book, Parenting Ahead, to equip parents for gospel-centered, foundation-laying parenting. She addresses living redemptively at home, recognizing the idols that shape our parenting, and building relationships where kids feel safe, seen, and heard.

When your child disobeys, what guides your response—rules or relationship? Many parents wrestle with when to enforce consequences and when to extend grace, often without a clear framework for either. This talk brings clarity by unpacking the biblical distinction between law and gospel and how each shapes the way we parent. With practical examples for every stage of parenting, this talk equips you to move from managing behavior to shepherding hearts—raising children who don’t just follow rules, but know their need for Jesus and trust in His finished work.

One-on-one support — grounded in the gospel
As a professional counselor Kristen works with teen girls, parents, and women of all ages dealing with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, perfectionism, grief, relational conflict, life transitions, parenting and more. While she naturally operates from a biblical worldview integrating faith in counseling, Kristen gladly meets all clients where they are. Kristen believes the most important aspect of counseling is in the therapeutic relationship.
Furthermore, because Kristen does not see counseling as a one-fit for all, she draws from several counseling modalities including family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and internal family systems (IFS). She has received training for these modalities, as well as Making Sense of Your Worth, anxiety, grief, trauma, and eating disorder counseling. Kristen is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
If you are in the states of Texas or Oklahoma and interested in seeing Kristen for counseling, she is an independent contractor at Magnolia Counseling Group in Dallas and you can contact her here.

ABOUT
I’m Kristen, CHRISTIAN AUTHOR, COUNSELOR, and SPEAKER
I help parents NAME THE TREADMILL THEY’re ON AND find relief the gospel was always meant to be.
I'm an author, licensed counselor, and speaker and I've spent years writing and sitting with parents who love God and still feel like they're falling short. Everything I do points toward one thing: the gospel is better news than most of us are living. This is an honest space to see how that reshapes everyday life.
