For months I looked forward to my trip to Colorado Springs for the opportunity to sit down with Jim Daly to talk about content from my book, Parenting Ahead. Finally the day came–along with an unexpected snowstorm. You know it is alot of snow when schools and businesses in Colorado shut down! Treacherously in my rental car I made it from the airpot to my hotel (this Texan doesn’t drive in snow!). The next day most of my schedule at Focus on the Family headquarters got disrupted, but thankfully the show went on. I am pleased to share the episode here, and have also outlined below various topics covered.
But first, another resource I want to showcase is the Focus on the Family Counseling Center. I had the joy over lunch learning more about how they serve people across the U.S. primarily by connecting them with counselors in their state. You can directly access their referral site to see who in your area has been screened by Focus on the Family and included in their Counseling Network HERE. I appreciate the vetting they do for those who want to know before seeing a counselor that he or she holds to a biblical worldview. I am honored to be included in this.
Hope you find this all helpful! Listen to the episode HERE. And if you haven’t read Parenting Ahead yet–you can order it HERE.
